This blog is run by Amita Bedi who has over 15 years of experience in coaching and mentoring young students throughout their educational journey. She is educated to PGDip level and has a degree in Accounting & Finance from Manchester. During her career, she has pursued a number of teaching roles both in India and the UK, including private tutoring young students in a number of subjects such as English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. CELTA qualified, Amita has also coached young adults, preparing them for English Proficiency exams such as IELTS; to improve their English fluency skills. She has also conducted a number of creative writing, story-telling and public speaking workshops at the British Library in India.

In addition to this, she has extensive experience helping students with school and university applications, personal statements, cover letters and job applications; ensuring top university places and jobs for a number of her students.

Amita has also spent a significant portion of her career in India, giving her an insight into the various strengths and flaws of the UK Education system as compared to the Indian system. One of the key differences she noticed was the special emphasis placed on STEM subjects in India, which is quite characteristic of Asian countries in general. This unique experience has allowed her to provide a better educational experience for her students using the best mix of both systems.

Amita is a mother of 2 children and has been actively involved with their education; the elder son is currently studying at a top UK university whilst the younger son is studying at a leading UK independent school.

This blog was created with the intention of helping out those who are curious about their own or their child's education in the UK. Hope you enjoy reading this blog!
