Which is Better for Higher Education - USA or UK?
Being from the UK, I could be biased in my answer but I would say the UK has a high number of world-class universities which match the leading universities in USA and wins over the USA in other aspects, such as tighter laws. This makes the UK a safer place to study and being central on the world map, makes travelling a lot easier.

Obviously this chart shouldn’t be the base of your decision as a particular university in USA might be better for a specific course, than a similar university offering the same course in the UK, for example you may want to study Computer Science at MIT because of the ample of opportunities that would follow.
If you’re drive is to get into the leading technology companies like Google and Facebook, then perhaps the USA is the place to be, but that’s not to say the UK don’t have technology jobs to offer. UK companies offer the best of packages, especially in technology companies, startups and investment banks.
At the end of the day, it’s a personal choice. One does have to look at all the aspects of the university and course in question, finances, whether scholarships are available, friends and family, distance to your home country and job prospects afterwards amongst many other considerations.
Read my blog which outlines the reasons to study in the UK.
